Writings

Here are some things I've written for various occasions. Most of them are PDF or Open Document files and may be in a bzip-ed tar archive (.tar.bz2 extension). OSX and Linux come with software to extract these archives, but Microsoft Windows does not. Windows users should download 7-Zip. If you have trouble opening the Open Document files, try downloading OpenOffice.org.

Note

If you are a student (or anyone else for that matter) working on a paper, don't rip from here. If you really need reasons for academic integrity, here's a few:

  • Professors tend to be quite a bit wiser than they make themselves out to be. They know how to use Google and all the tricks that we do. Remember, they were once students too.
  • Getting a bad grade (or even failing) isn't as bad as your teachers/parents/whoever have tried to make it out to be. Once you get out into the Real World, no one will care about your marks (almost). Actually learning a thing or two is far more important.
  • Integrity is important, especially in Information Technology. Nobody wants to work with a genius who will back-stab them the moment someone else offers more money.
  • Also, don't think that you can get away with things as long as you don't get caught, it doesn't work so well. If you don't trust me, read Crime and Punishment (but get your paper written first).
